Professional Background
Ms. Bruch joined Laxalt Law Group in 2026. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced for six years at Lemons, Grundy, and Eisenberg and previously spent nineteen years as a shareholder at a local firm following a one-year federal clerkship for Magistrate Judge Phyllis Halsey Atkins in 2001.
Ms. Bruch’s practice focuses on management-side employment law, labor law, and civil rights defense in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, Nevada Equal Rights Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, Nevada Labor Commission, OSHA, the Nevada Commission on Ethics, the Employee Management Relations Board, and Housing and Urban Development. She also handles employer-side workers’ compensation matters.
Ms. Bruch represents public entities and private employers throughout Nevada. Her work includes developing employee handbooks and workplace policies; defending administrative claims; conducting high-level confidential investigations; drafting non-compete, confidentiality, and severance agreements; advising on layoffs; and performing HR audits related to business transactions. She also provides day-to-day employment counseling on sensitive workplace matters.
Leadership & Service
Ms. Bruch is a former president of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, and the Association of Defense Counsel for
Northern Nevada. She has served as a Lawyer Representative to the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and as a Ninth Circuit Representative.
She has also served on the boards of the Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living, CampCare Nevada, and the Pioneer Theater, and previously served as President of the Bruce R. Thompson Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Ms. Bruch has authored numerous employment-law articles and regularly teaches statewide and nationally, including for the State Bar of Nevada, Washoe County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
Personal
Ms. Bruch enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971 following high school graduation, where she met her husband, Chris. They have been married for more than 53 years and have two adult sons. The family relocated to Nevada in 1980.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Bruch worked as a certified court reporter for 15 years. She is a proud grandmother and considers this her greatest joy.
